Kings upset Clippers 118-109

There was a significant upset in the National Basketball Association on Saturday. Even though the Sacramento Kings were a 13.5 point underdog to the Los Angeles Clippers, they still came out on top by a score of 118-109 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California.
This was the second notable win for Sacramento in the last week. On Tuesday, they were down 78-58 to the Indiana Pacers, but came through with a 136-131 victory.Â
The Kings had six players who reached double digits in points. Power forward DeMar DeRozan of Compton, California led the Kings in scoring as he had 27 points. It was an exceptional weekend for DeRozan. On Sunday. he had 41 points in a 116-111 Kings win over the Utah Jazz.
The other five Kings players who reached 10 points or more against the Clippers on Saturday were center Precious Achiuwa (who like DeRozan previously played for the Toronto Raptors) with 25 points, rookie center Maxime Raynaud of Paris, France (23 points), shooting guard Daeqwon Plowden of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (15 points off the bench), small forward Russell Westbrook of Long Beach, California (12 points), and rookie shooting guard Nique Clifford of Colorado Springs, Colorado (11 points).
Westbrook meanwhile recorded a triple double, the 209th triple double he has had in his career (and the most in the NBA all-time) and the sixth triple-double with the Kings this season. On Saturday, he had 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Meanwhile, Achuiwa had the double-double as he had 13 rebounds.
With the win over the Clippers, the Kings improved to a record of 17 wins and 51 losses. The Clippers dropped to 34 wins and 33 losses.
