March 31, 2023

According to ESPN on Wednesday, Jrue Holiday of Chatsworth, California became the oldest Milwaukee Bucks player in franchise history to score 50 points in a game. He accomplished the feat by scoring 51 points in a 149-136 Bucks win over the Indiana Pacers at the age of 32 years and 290 days old on Wednesday.
The oldest player to score 50 points in a NBA game was Jamal Crawford of Seattle, Washington, who had 51 points for the Phoenix Suns in a 120-109 Suns loss to the Dallas Mavericks on April 9, 2019 at the age of 39 years and 20 days. The oldest player to score 50 points in a NBA game for a winning team was Michael Jordan of Brooklyn, New York, who had 51 points in a 107-90 Washington Wizards win over the Charlotte Hornets at the age of 38 years and 315 days old on December 29, 2001.
This is the 24th time a NBA player has scored 50 points in a game this season. Giannis Antetokounmpo of Athens, Greece accomplished the feat thrice. He scored a career-high 55 points in a 123-113 win over the Washington Wizards on January 3, 54 points in a 106-105 Bucks win over the Los Angeles Clippers on February 2, and 50 points in a 135-110 Bucks win over the New Orleans Pelicans on January 29.

Antetokounmpo’s performance against the Clippers was impressive when you consider the fact he added 19 rebounds, had the last two rebounds of the game with less than 20 seconds left, and had the last seven points in the contest as Milwaukee came from behind to get the W.
On Wednesday, Antetokounmpo was also sensational. He had 38 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 assists. It was the first time ever that teammates had 50 points and a 35-point triple double in the same contest.
