Jaguars trade defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris to the Seahawks
October 17, 2024

According to Michael Baca of nfl.com, there was a trade made in the National Football League on Monday. The Jacksonville Jaguars have traded defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris (pictured right next to Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence) to the Seattle Seahawks for a sixth round draft pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
Robertson-Harris, who has also been a defensive lineman and defensive tackle in his eight years in the NFL, is joining his third NFL franchise. He originally played four seasons with the Chicago Bears from 2017 to 2020, and the last four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2021 to 2024.
While with the Jaguars this season, Robertson-Harris has had seven combined tackles (five solo tackles and two assisted tackles), four quarterback hits, three tackles for a loss, and two sacks.
In 106 career games, Robertson-Harris has 198 combined tackles (117 solo tackles and 81 assisted tackles), 26 tackles for a loss, 66 quarterback hits, 13 pass deflections, 19 sacks and one fumble recovery. The fumble recovery came in Robertson-Harris’s first ever NFL game, a 23-17 Bears loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Robertson-Harris played his college football at Texas El-Paso. He was undrafted prior to signing a contract with the Bears on May 9, 2016.
The Seahawks got off to a strong start in 2024 as they won their first three games. However, since then Seattle has lost their last three games. Seattle was beaten 42-29 to a perfect Jared Goff, and then was upset 29-20 by the New York Giants (even though the Seahawks were a seven point favourite), before losing this past Thursday 36-24 to the San Francisco 49ers. The Seahawks and the injury plagued 49ers both lead the NFC West Division with 3-3 records.
