The Plunge’s Trial Review: Horses You Must Follow From Last Week’s Trials 9/6
June 9, 2021
A Mark Newnham trained colt that sizzled around Randwick in a blistering time is this week’s black booked runner from the trials. On top of that, she edged out a 2yo colt that was my pick from last week’s trial, so hopefully this is a double edged sword!

Sneaky Paige settled just off the speed and produced a blistering turn of foot to win the trial by a length over Bullpen, the horse that was my pick from the Sydney trials last week. The time they ran was easily the quickest of the morning, including trials ran by older horses. After Bullpen’s trial last week, I stated that I would like to see Bullpen put in another strong performance at the trials before I would be fully committed and he did exactly that. I think the form out of this trial will prove to be quite strong.
When To Bet
I would love to see Sneaky Paige debut in a midweek 2yo race in town but it is more likely she will debut in Saturday grade. Either way I think she should prove very hard to beat.
