The 2021 season was an intriguing one for women’s golf. Here were the top 10 money leaders on the LPGA Tour in 2021.

10) Lexi Thompson–$1,254,423

Consistency was a major part of Thompson’s game in 2021, as she had eight top-10 finishes. She might not have won a tournament, but did finish second twice in Florida. The first time came at the Gainbridge in Boca Raton in February, and the second time came at the Pelican Women’s Championship in November.

9) Anna Nordqvist–$1,258,467

The 34-year old Swede won the AIG Women’s British Open at Carnoustie in August for her third career major title. Nordqvist shot a four-round score of -12 to beat Georgia Hall, Madeleine Sagstrom and Lizette Salas by a stroke.

8) Ariya Jutanugarn–$1,260,430

The 26-year-old native of Bangkok, Thailand won the Honda LPGA Thailand event in May and the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational in Midland, Michigan in July. Jutanugarn is currently 25th in the world.

7) Patty Tavatanakit–$1,393,437

There is no doubt that the 22-year-old from Bangkok has a bright future. We saw her amazing skill set when she won the 2021 ANA Inspiration with a remarkable four-round score of -18. Tavatanakit was also named the LPGA Rookie of the Year for 2021.

6) Yuka Saso–$1,517,876

The 20-year-old made golf history in June, when at only 19 years of age at the time, became the first golfer from the Philippines to win a major. Saso won the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open, where she beat Nasa Hataoka of Japan in a three-hole playoff. Saso is currently eighth in the world.

5) Lydia Ko–$1,530, 629

The 24-year-old from New Zealand who is third in the world, won the Lotte Championship in April with an amazing score of -28. Ko’s dominance at the Kaopolei Golf Club put her in historic company. It was the third best score ever posted in LPGA Tour history.

4) Minjee Lee–$1,542,332

The 25-year-old native of Perth won her first major in 2021 when she won the Evian Championship in France in July. Lee beat Jeong-eun Lee6 of South Korea in a playoff. Lee entered the final round seven strokes back of the Korean to take the title. It was quite simply one of the greatest comebacks you will ever see.

3) Nasa Hataoka–$1,901,081

The 22-year-old from Kasama, Japan is sixth in the world. In 2021, she recorded two victories. The first came at the Marathon LPGA Classic, and the second came at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.

2) Nelly Korda–$2,382,198

The Olympic champion got to number one in the world in 2021. The native of Bradenton, Florida, (whose father Petr won the 1998 Australian Open in men’s singles tennis while representing the Czech Republic), won her first career women’s golf major in 2021 when she won the Women’s PGA Championship. Korda also won at Gainsbridge in February, the Meijer LPGA Classic in June, and the Pelican Women’s Championship in November.
