Saturday Metropolitan racing in Victoria heads to Sandown where the Lakeside track will host 9 races. We’ve got VOBIS finals day with races set over all distances for both genders of equine athletes!

The track is currently rated a Soft 6. Victorian’s are set for a miserable day with tops of 21 degrees! There’s plenty of rain on the forecast with 20-40mm expected throughout the day. If this rain does hit during the meeting, this track will deteriorate very quickly.

The rail is out 7m for this meeting. This track has seen a lot of traffic over the last few weeks and I’m unsure how it will hold up if this rain hits. Expecting a clear bias, just unsure which way it goes. Watch and assess early.
