Saturday Metropolitan racing in Victoria heads to Sandown where the Hillside track will host 9 races with the first to commence at 11:50am local time. The feature race on the program is the Listed Lomaro’s Hotel Handicap (Race 6) where Katsu holds current favouritism.
The track is currently rated a soft 6. Victorian’s are set for a freezing day with tops of 14 degrees! With no rain expected over the next 48 hours there’s a possibility of this track drying out a touch.
The rail is in the true position for this meeting. Traditionally, with the rail in the true position, horses that have been able to make their runs on the crown of the track have been favoured (4-7 lanes). Inside barriers could be a disadvantage. As always, watch and assess.
