Newcastle Race 1 – Bay Of Kiel

Third up here and flying. Last start 3rd on the Kenso at $5 hitting the line very well off the back of a slow pace over 1550. First up 4th at Doomben running brilliant figures at $5

Should settle close without much speed in the race and run out the 1800. Christian Reith in the saddle is another positive. Looks the one to beat here.

Newcastle Race 4 – Beruti

This gelding has been flying late in his last couple of runs recording 3 2nds from 4. Last two runs has produced excellent late splits without the aid of genuine tempo.

Dylan Gibbons in the saddle with the 3kg claim. Keen on him behind some tempo.

Newcastle Race 6 – Head Legislator

Third up and has been racing in fine order this prep. Finished runner up at both runs this prep. First up 2nd at Canterbury over 1100m on Heavy at $3.3. Second up 2nd 0.2L at Kembla over 1200m running strong sectionals.

Maps nicely and Rory should settle close. This task is no harder than his last 2 and is due a win. The one to beat.

Newcastle Race 7 – Born To Play

4th start following let-up after joining new stable and trialled well for return. Got the blinkers off first time and the winkers on first time on her first effort. She finished 2nd at Newcastle behind Super Effort over 1200. Next start 6th at Wyong however failed to handle going, poor recovery – forget that effort. Last start 2nd at Newcastle finishing strongly over 1300m. All 3 starts in 64 company.

This task is no more difficult and only picks up 0.5kg. Lee Magorrian retains the ride and should be finishing strong. Value play.
