Provincial racing heads to Goulburn on Tuesday after Kembla was washed out. The small fields on the six race card have produced a couple bets we like.
Goulburn R2 1. Boomsong
Resumed well last start when winning over the 1000m. He got favours in front with the slow speed but produced strong closing splits to give the run merit. He steps out to the 1200m and maps well again here.
3u at $2.25 with Topsport
Goulburn R3 3. Ruban Bleu
Resumed for the new stable finishing 3rd in similar company over the 1200m at Wagga. He began awkwardly, took inside runs running very slick L600-L200 sectionals, then had to shift course late and would have finished closer. Has some solid ratings on wet tracks and can improve here.
