The G1 Randwick Guineas and G1 Canterbury Stakes headline a cracking day of racing at Randwick. Our analyst is keen to be with a Waller colt benefiting from big map upside on the back of a big 1st up run and a Snowden sprinter that looks ready to fire 1st up.

Best Selection: R8- Autumn Boy

Happy to be with Autumn Boy in the G1 Randwick Guineas coming off his 1.4L 3rd in the G2 Hobartville, which looked a great tune up for getting out to his best distance. He was forced to go back to the rear from the wide draw before circling the field on the turn. Ninja sprinted too quickly for him on top of having an on-speed advantage but it was great to see him rocket home with a 11.32s final 200m. His 33.23s final 600m was the fastest of the race. I’m not concerned with the blinkers staying off as he seems a professional type. He gets big map upside jumping from Gate 3 where I see him tracking Sheza Alibi and getting the perfect run into the race. He gave her windburn the only time they met at Eagle Farm back in June.

Value Selection: R7- Raging Force

Raging Force looks ready to fire 1st up over 1000m after a cracking 3.5L Rosehill trial win where he went straight to the front and went on with it breaking 34s for the final 600m. We learned in the spring that he doesn’t quite run out a strong 1200m so happy to ignore the poor Coolmore effort and be with him over 1000m until he shows signs of strengthening up. He was a 1.4L winner of the G3 San Domenico defeating Wodeton and Beiwacht 1st up last time and was 0.4L 2nd with Sheza Alibi back in 3rd in the Gothic Stakes on Caulfield Cup Day. He ideally finds the front on his own or could sit in behind Mazu if he shows aggression against his 1st up pattern. Happy to be against Giga Kick sticking to 1000m 2nd up.
