Free: Best Of The Best: Our Wednesday Specials – Canterbury 14/4
April 13, 2022

Last week Andermatt’s dominant win gave us a win on the day. We return back to Canterbury today and I’ve picked out an undefeated mare resuming from a spell and a Waterhouse/Bott runner that holds a tactical advantage.

Canterbury Race 3 – Norwegian Bliss
- Trainer: N Doyle
- Jockey: J McDonald
- Barrier: 4
Norwegian Bliss will be shooting for 5 wins from 5 career starts when she resumes over 1100m. I do believe she will be at her best when out to 1400m but she does appear to have a class edge against these 3 and 4yos. Her last start victory at Newcastle on Hunter day where she edged out Grande Rumore and Faschanel was a much stronger race than this.
Tip: 2 Units Win Norwegian Bliss @$2.35 with TopSport
Canterbury Race 4 – Military Mission
- Trainer: Waterhouse & Bott
- Jockey: R King
- Barrier: 4
Military Mission is short enough now that his main rival Forever You has been scratched from the race but I will leave him in my tips as I believe the combination of his superior form and tactical advantage makes him a banker here. He was dominant winning on this track over 1900m by 2.3L last start. Rachel King will take him to the front where he should pinch some soft sectionals and if he is able to bring the turn of foot he showed last time I can’t see any of these catching him.
