October 20, 2020
It appears that Eugenie Bouchard, one of Canada’s top female tennis players, is dating Pittsburgh Steelers backup quarterback Mason Rudolph. According to SJ Lynn of The Sporting News, Bouchard and Rudolph are in a “serious relationship”.
TMZ Sports is reporting that Bouchard was in Pittsburgh this week and was seen at a “fancy restaurant.” During coronavirus quarantine, Bouchard sent out a tweet that went viral. It stated that quarantining “would be a lot more fun with a boyfriend.” The tweet received 2600 comments and 28 300 likes.
Bouchard, of Montreal, is best known for her marvelous 2014 women’s tennis season when she reached the semifinals in three of four majors, including the 2014 Wimbledon Final. In 2020, Bouchard reached the final of Istanbul last month before losing to Patricia Maria Tig of Romania, 2-6, 6-1, 7-6.
Rudolph, a native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, is best known as being the backup of Steelers’ future hall of fame quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Rudolph came in for Roethlisberger, who was out for the year with elbow surgery. In eight games, Rudolph completed 176 passes in 283 attempts for 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He added 21 rushes for 42 yards.
In the Steelers’ 38-7 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Rudolph was on the football field briefly. He completed one pass for six yards and had three rushes for -3 yards.
