Leicester v Liverpool

This game is even bigger than anyone could have imagined it would be. It could well go a long way to deciding which of these teams gets a top four spot.

Liverpool have been in poor form, highlighted by the thumping handed to them by Man City last week. While Leicester have been a little inconsistent at home. It all points to a draw to me. So often in these important games both teams come out a bit tight and I think we may see that again here.

Manchester City v Tottenham

It is hard to remember now but Tottenham actually went to the top of the league shortly before Christmas. Their form since then has been awful though. It is quite the opposite for their opponents who have now won 15 straight games in all competitions and look like the strong favourites to win the title.

Spurs conceded five in midweek to Everton, but in these games Mourinho likes to keep it tight and try and steal a win. We have seen it so often and it is hard to imagine he will do anything differently here. I do not see it ending in anything but a City win, but I do not think it will be the goalfest some will be predicting.

Arsenal v Leeds

Leeds have done so well on their return to the Premier League, but their form against the better teams in the league has not been great. While Arsenal’s league position does not say they are one of the best, their recent form says otherwise. They are still a top six team in terms of talent. They have a young line up now that will cope well with the Leeds press. They can come out of this with an important win as they make a late push for European football.

Southampton v Wolves

These two teams met in midweek and there is little reason to think that Southampton can’t repeat their win. they were dominant against Wolves who just can’t get on the scoresheet. They have just three in the past six and there is not much to make you think that will change here. Southampton have conceded goals but Wolves are not the team to take advantage of that.
