Enthaar given the green light to run in G1 Blue Diamond

The Ciaron Maher and Dave Eustace filly has been cleared by the vets and will take her place in tomorrow’s 2-year-old feature at Caulfield.

Concern was sent around the racing world after it was announced yesterday that Enthaar along with Dosh and Marine One were lame in the near fore and were to be assessed again this morning.

The short priced favourite Enthaar satisfied Racing Victoria vets this morning and has been cleared to run. However, it was a different story for Grahame Begg runner Dosh who unfortunately had to be scratched after the unbeaten two-year-old suffered a bruised heel.

Meanwhile Marine One is still lame in the near fore and will undergo a third and final inspection tomorrow morning prior to 7.30am.

Earlier this morning on RSN927 trainer Ciaron Maher was very confident that Enthaar would get the all clear from the vets.

“Yeah I’m pretty confident that when the vets come back this morning they should be happy enough with what they see,” said Maher.

“She’s [Enthaar] really bright and well this morning, I watched her work yesterday morning she did her final piece of work and she galloped on the sand track because the grass track was too firm.”

The filly has had two impressive wins to date but has slightly drifted this week after multiple concerns including whether she can run the 1200 metres, the wide barrier and then the vet news yesterday.

“She’s done all the work she’s had to do; she hasn’t missed a beat

“I’m very confident [on running 1200 metres] she’s got a big engine, she’s a big striding horse and she’s obviously very natural. We’ll just ride her where she is comfortable, Mark knows her very well. He’s done quite a few gallops on her and obviously ridden her so I won’t be tying him down with any instructions

“I’d probably be nervous if I was training a horse to beat her.”

After the news of Enthaar being cleared to run tomorrow the unbeaten filly is $2.35 and will most likely firm closer to the race.
