Cavaliers beat Nets 111-102 in Paris

In the only NBA regular season game played in Europe this season, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Brooklyn Nets 111-102 at AccorHotels Arena in Paris, France, It was a sensational game for Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell of Elmsford, New York, who had a double-double. He had 45 points and 12 rebounds in 40 minutes and 37 seconds of action.
Mitchell made 15 of 30 field goals, four of 12 three-point attempts, and 11 of 13 free throws. He also had six assists, four steals, and was a game high +11.
In all, five Cavaliers players reached double digits in scoring. Former Nets shooting guard Caris LeVert of Columbus, Ohio had 21 points off the bench. Meanwhile, center Jarrett Allen of San Diego, California, and small forward Isaac Okoro of Atlanta, Georgia had 12 points each, and power forward Georges Niang of Lawrence, Massachusetts had 10 points off the bench. Niang has now reached double figures in points in Cleveland’s last four games, which are all victories.
The Cavaliers had a comfortable 20 point lead at the half, 54-34. That lead extended to 26 points at 60-34 when Mitchell made a one foot layup with one minute and 37 seconds into the third quarter. The Nets meanwhile scored 42 of their 102 points in the fourth quarter, but it was too little, too late.
With the win, the Cavaliers improved to a record of 22 wins and 15 losses. Meanwhile, the Nets dropped to 16 wins and 22 losses. This was the second of two NBA International games this season. On November 9 at Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico the Atlanta Hawks beat the Orlando Magic 120-119.
