NRL Team Lists: Dolphins Vs Eels – The Biggest Betting Impacts From Team List

12 hours ago - Sportingbase NRL Team Lists: Dolphins Vs Eels – The Biggest Betting Impacts From Team List Image

The official team lists are in for Dolphins vs Eels, with Max Plath moving into the Dolphins’ starting pack and Parramatta adding Jack de Belin at lock. We’ve assessed the changes for the anytime try scorer, try assist, tackle and run metre markets punters can target.

Biggest Winners – Dolphins

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow

The Dolphins retain their first-choice attacking spine of Tabuai-Fidow, Kodi Nikorima, Isaiya Katoa and Jeremy Marshall-King. The Hammer’s support play makes him the obvious Dolphins player to target if their forwards establish control.

Our Tip: Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow – Anytime Try Scorer

Selwyn Cobbo

Cobbo retains his place on the wing, with Herbie Farnworth inside him. Against an Eels side sitting 13th, that combination gives the Dolphins a dangerous finishing option on the edge.

Our Tip: Selwyn Cobbo – Anytime Try Scorer

Max Plath

Plath moves into the starting second row after Connelly Lemuelu suffered a low-grade hamstring injury. The promotion should increase his expected minutes and defensive workload.

Our Tip: Max Plath – Over Tackles

Biggest Losers – Dolphins

Connelly Lemuelu

Lemuelu is expected to miss two to three weeks with his hamstring injury, opening the door for Plath to start.

Betting impact: Plath’s tackle and involvement markets become much more interesting with a starting role.

Ray Stone

Stone moves into the No.14 jersey as part of the reshuffle. His bench role makes his minutes harder to predict than Plath’s.

Betting impact: I’d avoid Stone’s tackle and run metre overs and target Plath instead.

Dolphins Edge Defence

Parramatta still have genuine strike through Josh Addo-Carr, Will Penisini and Mitchell Moses, so the Eels shouldn’t be completely ignored in try-scoring markets.

Our Tip: Josh Addo-Carr – Anytime Try Scorer

Biggest Winners – Eels

Jack de Belin

De Belin comes straight into the starting side at lock, with Saxon Pryke shifting to the interchange. It’s a role that should provide him with plenty of defensive involvement through the middle.

Our Tip: Jack de Belin – Over Tackles

Mitchell Moses

Moses retains the No.7 jersey and captaincy alongside Ronald Volkman. With Addo-Carr, Penisini and Apa Twidle around him, he remains Parramatta’s primary attacking creator.

Our Tip: Mitchell Moses – 1+ Try Assist

Josh Addo-Carr

Addo-Carr remains on Parramatta’s wing and gives Moses a proven finisher if the Eels can generate enough attacking possession.

Our Tip: Josh Addo-Carr – Anytime Try Scorer

Biggest Losers – Eels

Dylan Walker

Walker is out after suffering a wrist injury last week, with NRL.com reporting he faces at least one game on the sidelines.

Betting impact: His absence removes some versatility from Parramatta’s rotation and makes the roles of their starting forwards more predictable.

Saxon Pryke

De Belin’s inclusion pushes Pryke back to the interchange.

Betting impact: Pryke’s tackle and run metre markets become less attractive with reduced certainty around his minutes.

Eels Middle Defence

This is a difficult assignment against Thomas Flegler, Tom Gilbert, Morgan Knowles and Plath, with Francis Molo and Felise Kaufusi available from the Dolphins’ bench.

Our Tip: Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow – Anytime Try Scorer

Early Betting Verdict

The team lists strengthen the case for targeting the Dolphins’ attacking markets. They sit fourth heading into Round 25 and have retained their entire starting backline and spine, with Plath’s promotion the only change to the starting pack.

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow – Anytime Try Scorer

The Hammer is the player I want supporting Flegler, Gilbert and the Dolphins’ middle forwards. If they generate quick play-the-balls, Tabuai-Fidow should get opportunities both through the middle and sweeping onto the edges.

Our Tip: Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow – Anytime Try Scorer

Selwyn Cobbo – Anytime Try Scorer

Cobbo remains outside Farnworth and offers another direct way of attacking Parramatta’s edge defence.

Our Tip: Selwyn Cobbo – Anytime Try Scorer

Jamayne Isaako – Anytime Try Scorer

Isaako gives us another Dolphins winger to consider on the opposite side. With Katoa and Nikorima directing a settled attack, he should see opportunities if the Dolphins spend enough time inside Parramatta’s 20.

Our Tip: Jamayne Isaako – Anytime Try Scorer

Isaiya Katoa – Try Assists

Katoa retains the No.7 jersey and captaincy and has an unchanged backline around him. That continuity makes his attacking involvement one of the cleaner player props in the game.

Our Tip: Isaiya Katoa – 1+ Try Assist

Max Plath – Tackles

This is the player prop most directly affected by Team List Tuesday. Plath moves from the interchange into the starting second row following Lemuelu’s injury.

Our Tip: Max Plath – Over Tackles

Josh Addo-Carr – Anytime Try Scorer

If you’re looking for an Eels try scorer rather than backing only Dolphins players, Addo-Carr is my preferred option. Moses gives Parramatta enough creativity to generate opportunities even as underdogs.

Our Tip: Josh Addo-Carr – Anytime Try Scorer

Best Bet From The Team Lists

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow – Anytime Try Scorer

The Dolphins’ selection continuity is what I want to target. Tabuai-Fidow remains behind a strong pack and an unchanged Katoa-Nikorima halves combination, giving him opportunities as both a support runner and an attacking fullback.

Our Tip: Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow – Anytime Try Scorer

I’d also check his 2+ Tries price with Sportsbet and TAB rather than automatically taking it — if the Dolphins dominate possession, that’s the natural higher-odds extension of the same angle.

Value Bet

Selwyn Cobbo – Anytime Try Scorer

Cobbo is the value alternative to The Hammer. He starts outside Farnworth and gives the Dolphins a powerful finishing option if Katoa directs traffic towards that edge.

Our Tip: Selwyn Cobbo – Anytime Try Scorer
