Haeran Ryu of Yeongam-gun, South Korea is the new leader at the 2026 Women’s PGA Championship from the Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. Ryu is at -11 and has a one stroke lead on Canadian Brooke Henderson.

Ryu is the leader at this time despite a first round score of one-over-par 73. She had a second round score of eight-under-par 64, and a third round score of four-under-par 68.

In the first round, Ryu had two birdies and three bogeys. She birdied the third and 18th holes, and bogeyed the first, sixth, and 13th holes. In the second round, Ryu had eight birdies and zero bogeys. She birdied the second, third, fourth, sixth, 14th, 16th, 17th and 18th holes. In the third round, Ryu had one eagle, three birdies and one bogey. She eagled the seventh hole, birdied the first, fifth, and ninth holes, and bogeyed the 10th hole.

Ryu’s eagle made her go into double digits for the tournament. She went from -9 to -11. Ryu had a tee shot of 293 yards, an approach shot of 190 yards, and an eagle putt of 28 feet and two inches.

The fact that Ryu is even in the lead is remarkable. After the first round, Ryu was 10 strokes back of the leader, I-na Yoon of Jinju, South Korea, who had an opening score of nine-under-par 63. Ryu has now been -12 in the last 36 holes, and Yoon has been even par and remained at -9. That is a 12 stroke swing.

Yoon is in third place now and two strokes back of Ryu. Henderson is at -10. The only other two golfers in contention are Dewi Weber of the Netherlands and A Lim Kim of South Korea, who are tied for fourth place at -8, and three strokes back of Ryu.
