Black Book: Horses You Must Back Next Start From Warwick Farm 3/9

The replays and sectional times have been reviewed from Wednesday’s Warwick Farm meeting. Our analyst is keen to follow a pair of runners-up that finished 2nd in what should prove to be strong form races.

Decorum

The Freedman colt jumped a fraction slow and found himself at the rear of the field in running before being caught in a really awkward position on the turn where he had to be checked off heels. He built really nice momentum down the outside to finish 0.6L 2nd to Attica, a horse that connections seemed to have a big opinion of. This run had more merit considering 5/7 winners on the day settled forward of midfield. He looks capable of stepping up in trip and shouldn’t stay a maiden too long.

Just A Journey

I’m very keen to stick with Just A Journey out of what should stand up as a strong form race. She sat on top of a solid tempo and wouldn’t of appreciated being eye-balled by the well fancied Hurry Miss but still managed to give a great kick at the top of the straight whilst that mare faded to finish 2.9L 5th. She was run down to finish 0.7L 2nd to the highly rated Tuileries with big margins back through the field. I am hopeful they give her a midweek kill before progressing to Saturday races.
