Black Book: Horses You Must Follow From Rosehill 30/8

The replays and sectional times have been reviewed from Saturday’s Rosehill meeting where the spring stars were back in full flight. Our analyst has black booked a Coolmore colt that looks to have a big race in him getting out over a mile and another colt that made decent ground in the San Domenico that looks on track for the Golden Rose.

Fermoy

The Waller 3yo looks to have come back in outstanding order as a 3yo. He settled at the rear of the small field and motored down to outside to finish 0.3L 2nd to Grand Prairie with a 1.7L gap back to 3rd. He likely heads to the G3 Ming Dynasty over 1400m at Rosehill in a fortnight where the depth will start to spread with some 3yos heading to the Run to the Rose.

Rivellino

The Rosehill 1100m seemed like it was always going to be a little too sharp for Rivellino returning from a spell after what we saw in his 2yo season. The Lees colt returned with an outstanding trial making great ground behind Briasa and was well supported 1st up. He settled last from the inside draw and worked home solidly without threatening. The 3.6L 4th isn’t going to read well in the form guide but he looks on track to be peaking over 1400m in the G1 Golden Rose. The $13/$4 on offer in Unibet’s Future’s market looks a nice play.
