The replays and sectionals have been reviewed from Saturday’s Rosehill meeting. Our analyst has black booked a 2yo debutant that ran huge with no luck and a Baker/Darby runner that looks to have settled in well to the new stable.
Tigroni
The O’Shea & Charlton filly looks to be a 2yo to follow with confidence after a brave 1L 2nd where nothing went her way. She jumped well and was cast wide from the outside gate on top of the speed and still couldn’t find a position when she went back to midfield. She found herself the widest on the turn when making her run. She looked to have the eventual winner covered at the 300m before the tough run told finishing 2nd to Fireball bringing big wraps from the Waller yard. She will be well found wherever she heads next but won’t be far away from a win.
Snack Bar
The newly acquired Baker/Darby grey looks to be another runner that can add to the huge tally of big improvers going into on course training from the Cummings set up. He settled behind the leader and eventual winner Lyles before copping a bad check at the 700m that forced him to lose a length and ultimately result in a failed protest against the winner. He looked the winner for a large portion of the straight but the speedy Lyles was able to hold him off. He should improve off that 1st up run and will appreciate a step up to 1200m.
