Black Book: Horses You Must Follow From Randwick 10/12
December 13, 2022
Our form analyst has looked over the replays & sectional times from Rosehill on Saturday and has placed his list of horses you must follow below.
SALIRE
Lightly raced Scone trained gelding who has a big future. Huge run in the opening event the Class 3 Highway as Racing NSW stewards noted he had to be steadied soon after the start when crowded. He also had to go back from his wide barrier and was a clear last into the straight. He was also held up for a run between the 400m and the 300m. Despite this he rocketed home for third and he produced the fastest last 600 metres for the meeting of 32.32 seconds.
ATISHU
Great effort from the Chris Waller trained mare to come back from running second in the Ballarat Cup over 2000 metres on a heavy track to run on and finish third behind Kirwan’s Lane in The Ingham. If Waller continues with her campaign she’ll be hard to beat in anything over 2000 metres or further.
SKY LAB
Versatile galloper who is ready to win after three unlucky efforts back from a spell. Again things didn’t go his way as he was blocked for a run for most of the straight in the Ingham but he flew home running his last 200 metres in 11.57 seconds to finish second.
NUGGET
Although a talented field contested the Ingham, the best horse to run on Saturday at Randwick was probably Nugget. He carried 61.5 kilos to win the Benchmark 88 also held over 1600 metres which was the race after The Ingham and his winning time was only .44 seconds slower than Kirwan Lane who carried 57 kilos. He’s an exciting proposition.
