Black Book: Horses You Must Back Next Start From Warwick Farm 24/9
September 24, 2025
The replays and sectional times have been reviewed from Wednesday’s Warwick Farm meeting. Our analyst has black booked an impressive runner-up that looks well placed to break her maiden soon, a big winner that looks ready to step up to Saturday grade and a mare that had no luck in running and up the straight but still flashed home for 3rd.
Mrs Maree
The Conners mare led in the opener of the day and gave a great kick at the top of the straight only to be run down the final 200m by the well-backed Surf’s Up. The time from the race was slick for maiden company going 0.28s quicker than the BM68 horses in the next race. She should be breaking her maiden soon.
Jellicious
The Waller mare was the most impressive winner of the day settling off midfield and 3-wide over 1200m before storming down the outside to record a 1.9L victory. She looks ready to step up and mingle with some BM fillies and mares in Saturday company.Â

The Archibal 4yo had no luck throughout the final race of the day. She was caught 3-wide the trip from the wide gate and then was all over heels the on turning. When she finally got out at the 150m she flashed home to finish 0.4L 3rd. If she gets clear running at the top of the straight she wins even with the wide run.Â
