He tracked into the race along the fence nicely by the turn before copping a a bad squeeze at the 400m losing all of his momentum. When he finally saw clear running at the 200m he closed off with a nice final sectional to finish 3.1L 3rd. His final 600m of 34.22s was the fastest of the race
