Rosehill Race 3 –Ā Kaapfever
The old famous racing adage ‘weight can stop a train’ never rang truer than this race where consistent stayer Kaapfever gets in this 3200m slugfest with only 50kg on his back after Tyler Schiller’s claim.
The Joe Pride gelding showed he is up for 2 miles with a grinding 6th in a much stronger Winter Cup where he came from last to run home strongly with an extra 3kg on his back. Since then he ran a solid 2nd at Warwick Farm.
There is no doubt top weight Sweet Thomas is the best horse in the race but with 60kg he gives away 10kg to Kaapfever and that is just too much for a horse that has a much better record on wet tracks.
Tip: 2 Units Win Kaapfever @$2.6 With TopSport
Rosehill Race 5 – Wairere Falls
Wairere Falls steps out here after not finishing any worse than 3rd in three runs this prep. The Waller gelding has strong form around the likes of Great House, Zing and Oscar Zulu. Two of those horse are starting favourite in stronger races today which bodes well for this guy whose connections will be desperate to get a win on the board.

Rosehill Race 6 – Threeood
Another Joe Pride runner here that gets in well at the weights. She was solid 1st up in the Listed Coughlan at Eagle Farm finishing 3rd behind Exhilirates. Since returning to Sydney she was dominant winning a barrier trial by 4.2L. She looks a great bet with only 53kg on her back.
Tip: 2 Units Win Threeood @$5.5 With TopSport
