Kensington Race 3 – Herman Hesse

Herman Hesse is a consistent stayer from the Maher & Eustace yard that has found one better in his last two starts over this distance in stronger company. He started favourite in the Christmas Cup last start when he led and was only run down my Mightybeel. I will be looking for fit horses with positive racing patterns at Kensington and he fits both those bills.

Kensington Race 5 – Forzanini

Forzanini is a smart filly who shoots for 3 straight victories after wins at Gosford and Canterbury to begin her prep and I feel she has found a winnable BM78 to continue his streak. The horse who ran 2nd to her at Canterbury last start ran second in a strong race at Gosford on Guineas day earlier this week. She should be 2nd or 3rd in the run and be hard to beat.

Kensington Race 7 – Dragonstone

Dragonstone is a speedy 3yo that finished 2nd to Bacchanalia at Randwick over 1100m last start and I love that form line after that horse won the Gosford Guineas last start. The Newnham camp have always held a strong opinion of him and his career record of 5:2-2-1 backs that up. He will need a touch of luck from the gate and can hopefully slot in somewhere slightly better than midfield.
