Best Of The Best – Happy Valley 9th of November

We head to Happy Valley on Wednesday night for a solid all round card. Our tipper likes a couple throughout the card.

Happy Valley R2 9. Tailor Made

Won last time seen over this track/trip carrying 61kg in Class 5. That win looked good in the ratings. He was then given a short break and returned nicely finishing 2^nd over 1600m at Sha Tin when first-up, carrying 56kg in this grade. Good over the 1800m next start and then respiratory issues last start. Short freshen up for the drop back in trip. Hoping the apprentice will roll forward and look for the front. Fair chance.

Happy Valley R4 9. Rattan Kingdom

Stable change to Josh Richards prior to last start where the stable presented an improved horse with a couple gear changes. He sat 3 wide the trip and boxed on well for 2^nd 1L. He’ll improve off that run. Has the speed to cover the wide draw. If he jumps well and gets a good run on speed he’ll be tough to beat

Happy Valley R6 12. Ensured

Resumed well finishing 4^th 2.5L over the 1650m here. Time was ok but late splits were excellent. Best rating came second-up last prep over this trip, after resuming over the 1650m. He finished 4^th 3.3L carrying 56kg in this grade, now at 52.5kg. Generally gets back but there’s good speed on here and he’ll get his chance to come over the top late.
