Best Of The Best – Happy Valley 7th of December
December 7, 2022
Wednesday night at Happy Valley features the International Jockey Challenge with the worlds best flying out and competing in Hong Kong. Expect a very good and competitive night of racing.
Happy Valley R1 6. Kowloon Great
Has a couple very nice ratings over the 1650 here. Also goes best when on the fresh side. Will have to go back from the wide draw but good speed on here and likely to be a three wide running line in front of him.

Happy Valley R2 4. Mister Arm
Beaten by London Luckystar and Medic Elite last start. They both settled closer to the speed in a slowly run race and enjoyed the far better runs in transit. Mister Arm jumped at a long SP but was given no chance start prior, happy to forgive that price. He meets London 2kg better and closed off very nicely in that race. Will enjoy a better run-in transit here.

Happy Valley R3 4. Hearty Wish
Has really enjoyed the Valley his last three. Ridden off the speed three back, made good ground. Two back very wide and pressed forward doing lots of early work, boxed on very well for 2nd 0.2L Sunny and Gold who has since placed up in class. Last start did lots of early work and boxed on nicely for 3rd 0.7L. Will enjoy the run of the race here.

Happy Valley R7 3. Rising From Ashes
Two very good 1650 figures since stepping out in trip. Drew wide both times and draws the rails here. Should better those two ratings and will be tough to beat. Nice price.

Happy Valley R8 11. Mr Valient
Liked his Happy Valley debut last start. Fresh and raced keenly, held up in straight but when balanced he flew late. Like him from the wide draw to get clear running and should enjoy the pace here. Should enjoy 3 weeks between runs too.
