Best Of The Best – Happy Valley 16th of November
November 16, 2022
We head to Happy Valley on Wednesday for the usual meeting under the lights. Our analyst likes a few at odds throughout the card.
Happy Valley R1 9. U W Brother
Finds the lead and the rails here pretty easily. Has been racing well over 1400m recently running good overall times because of his fast early splits. His L200 splits have been below average and he looks like he’ll relish the 1200m. Has done his best racing in the past at the Valley.

Happy Valley R2 1. Jazz Stead
Blinkers put back on 2 starts ago when finishing 3rd 0.4L over 1000m here. He got back over the short trip and hit the line very strongly, running his L200 3L quicker than race average. He then didn’t fire on the all weather track last start. Enjoys a better run here and should improve back to that form 2 back.

Happy Valley R3 4. Hero Star
Ultra consistent type. Gets to the front here and should enjoy a nice run without much pressure. Don’t think this race has much depth.

Happy Valley R7 2. Atullibigeal
Had some very good form in NZ, Open and Listed grade wins before coming over to Hong Kong. He has been disappointing before returning in excellently fashion last start from a spell. He settled last over 1200m and ran a superb L200m split, 4.4L quicker then race avg, to come over the top of all but one. Draws better here and kept 4 weeks between runs is ideal. Luke Currie sticks.
