With the amount of rain we’ve had this week, the track looks to be in the Soft 7/Heavy 8 region and with the majority of these horses having never seen a track nearly as wet as this, looks a good meeting to tread lightly. Rail goes out the 12m which we saw a few weeks ago where, with the south westerly in play (which we see again tomorrow), the middle of the track was dynamite.

Dad’s Bigheaded
3 year old coming up against the older horses here and absolutely loved the last run over the 1200m behind Schoolhouse Rock. Jagged back to 4 back the fence, was searching for runs from the top of the straight until the 100m mark where he found a gap and surged through, really attacking the line late with plenty left in the tank. The rise up to the 1400m here 3rd up profiles really well, the tempo should be genuine enough and if Turner can get him to the middle of the track here, which with the south westerly on his back traditionally is the A1 ground when the rail is out 12m, he is going to be super hard to hold out late.
