AFL Preview: Our Tips & Staking Plan 5/8

We’re happy to announce that we now have a professional AFL analyst on our team and will now be supplying his best bets for the AFL each week.

Geelong Cats vs North Melbourne 5:40pm

With the skipper back for the Cats, and some familiar faces returning for North, there is plenty of value on the table tonight. Starting off with North Melbourne, Macmillian and Atley fall under the same tree.

Macmillian last week played a strong wing role where he was given a lot more opportunity to find the footy, however with the likes of Polec back into the side a return to the backline looks to be most suited for him. With that being said, coming up against a tough matchup against Geelong who conceded the least amount of points to defenders in the competition, Atley and Macmillian are in for a hard day at the office.

At the other end of the ground, Stewart looked back to his best last week accumulating a lot of the footy across half back.

Dumont – depending on how quick you were, potentially could have found a better line, although still rate this play tonight. Has so much upside hence the exotic selection. Coach Shaw is a big fan and therefore he should maintain his spot either in the middle or on the wing where he can continue his stellar year.

Menegola has the most upside out of anyone on this slate today. He is our best bet of the day as he will operate the wing for the Cats, running the full length of the ground all night long.

  • Macmillan u52.5 fantasy @ 1.88 – 1u
  • Atley u54.5 fantasy @ 1.88 – 0.75u
  • Stewart o72.5 fantasy @ 1.88 – 0.75u
  • Menegola o73.5 fantasy @ 1.87 – 1.25u
  • Dumont o79.5 fantasy @ 1.85 – 0.75u
  • Dumont most fantasy North Melbourne @ 4 – 0.1u

Adelaide Crows vs Melbourne Demons 8:10pm

Talk about swinging the axe, these two teams love to leak points however the question remains: how will they perform against each other… Plenty of value, however just going to roll with the one bet for now.

Backing Ed Langdon to rediscover his form and get back to his genuine best. For a gut runner like this, in a matchup like this, there is no other place where I would want my money. Stay tuned in case some late value becomes available.

  • Ed Langdon o65.5 @ 1.88 – 1u
