With both teams without a victory in week one, it seems it will make both teams even more determined to take away the win against their arch-rivals.
Sydney had to settle with a 1-1 draw against Adelaide last week and with only one shot on target, they would count themselves lucky not to walk away with a loss in the first game of the post-Arnold era.
The Wanderers, on the other hand, would’ve taken away some confidence from a hard-fought draw against Perth last week. Markus Babbel’s side was down 1-0 going into halftime but were saved by a 65th-minute equaliser scored by Roly Bonevacia.
History is on the Sky Blues side in this fixture, winning eight of the last 13 clashes in the Hyundai A-League.
Sydney FC Expected Starting XI (4-2-3-1): Redmayne (GK); Grant, Wilkinson, van der Linden, Zullo; Brillante, O’Neill; De Jong, Brosque (c), Ninkovic; Le Fondre.
Western Sydney Wanderers Expected Starting XI (4-3-3):Â Janjetovic (GK); Risdon, Hamill (c), Tongyik, Elrich; Baccus, Mahazi, Baumjohann; Bonevacia, Sotirio, Riera.
Some insights for the game are:
- The Wanderers have won just one of the last 13 Sydney Derbies (D4, L8), conceding 10 goals in the last three clashes.
 - Sydney FC has kept the Wanderers scoreless in the second half in their last seven matches; the last time the Wanderers scored a second-half goal in the Derby was in Round 15 in 2015/16.
 - Spanish striker Oriol Riera has scored three goals in his last three games and has scored two of the last three Wanderers goals in the Derby.

Our Prediction:
- Sydney FC @ $1.75
 - Multi: Sydney FC/Sydney FC Double + Under 2.5 Total Goals @ $7.31. Click To Bet Now With Neds
