In the 18h of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Los Angeles Chargers.

Key Off Season Acquisitions

There are three new notable Los Angeles Chargers. They are tight end Charlie Kolar of Norman, Oklahoma, guard Cole Strange of Knoxville, Tennessee and defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson of McDonough, Georgia. Center Tyler Biadasz signed a three-year contract worth $30 million on March 6, but injured his anterior cruciate ligament this week during practice and is doubtful to play this season.

Kolar signed a three-year contract worth $24.3 million on March 9. He played the last four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. He had 10 catches for 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The first touchdown was for 10 yards and came in a 30-16 Ravens win over the Chicago Bears on October 26 and the second touchdown was for three yards and came in a 28-6 Ravens win over the Miami Dolphins on October 30.

Strange signed a two-year contract worth $13 million on March 10. He is joining his third NFL team after three seasons with the New England Patriots (2022 to 2024) and one season with the Miami Dolphins (2025).

Tomlinson signed a one-year deal worth $6.5 million on March 13. He is joining his fifth NFL franchise after four seasons with the New York Giants (2017 to 2020), two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings (2021 and 2022), two seasons with the Cleveland Browns (2023 and 2024) and one season with the Arizona Cardinals (2025).

Fantasy Stars

Justin Herbert of Eugene, Oregon was selected to the Pro Bowl for the second time in his NFL career. The eighth ranked quarterback, Herbert completed 340 passes in 512 attempts for 3727 passing yards, with 26 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 2025. He also had 83 rushes for 498 rushing yards and two touchdowns. The first rushing touchdown was for one yard and came in a 27-20 Chargers win over the Tennessee Titans on November 2, and the second rushing touchdown was for one yard and came in a 34-17 Chargers win over the Dallas Cowboys on December 21.

Cameron Dicker of Hong Kong is third among kickers. In 2025, he made 38 of 41 field goals and 34 of 35 converts.

Projected Finish

The Chargers have an above average quarterback, running game, and defense. Their X factor is head coach Jim Harbaugh, who has a winning percentage of .679 as a NFL head coach. Expect the Chargers to finish second in the AFC West, and in a playoff spot.
