2025 Seattle Seahawks Projected Finish, Key Signings & Fantasy Stars
August 30, 2025

In the 29th of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Seattle Seahawks.
Key Off-Season Acquisitions
The Seahawks acquired three new players in the offseason via free agency. They were quarterback Sam Darnold, wide receiver Cooper Kupp, and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence.
Darnold of Capistrano Beach, California signed a three year deal worth $100.5 million. He is joining his fifth National Football Team. Darnold has previously quarterbacked the New York Jets (2018 to 2020), the Carolina Panthers (2021 to 2022), the San Francisco 49ers (2023), and the Minnesota Vikings (2024).
This past season, Darnold had his best season in the NFL, as he was selected to the Pro Bowl with the Minnesota Vikings. Darnold won 14 of 17 games, and completed 361 passes in 545 attempts, for 4319 passing yards, 35 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He also had 67 rushes for 212 rushing yards and another major score. The rushing touchdown was for one yard and came in a 23-13 Vikings win over the Tennessee Titans on November 17.
Kupp of Yakima, Washington signed a three-year deal worth $45 million. He has played the last eight seasons with the Rams since 2017. This past season, Kupp had 67 catches for 710 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He also had two rushes for 10 rushing yards. Kupp won a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams in 2022, and in the contest was Super Bowl MVP.
Lawrence from Aiken, South Carolina signed a three-year deal worth $42 million. He is joining his second NFL franchise as he has been with the Dallas Cowboys since 2014. The four-time Pro Bowler only played four games with the Cowboys in 2024 because of a foot injury. He had 14 combined tackles (seven solo tackles and seven assisted tackles), five quarterback hits, four tackles for a loss, three sacks and one forced fumble. The forced fumble came in a 33-17 Cowboys win over the Cleveland Browns on September 8.
Fantasy Stars
Darnold is seventh among quarterbacks. It will be interesting to see how he will do in his new surroundings in Seattle after having success in Minnesota.
The Seahawks have the fifth ranked defense. They were second in the NFL last season with 51 three and outs. Only Cleveland had more with 54.
Projected Finish
The Seahawks defense will keep them out of the basement in the NFC West. The addition of Lawrence just makes Seattle stronger. I am picking Seattle to finish third.
