August 22, 2025

In the 24th of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the New York Giants
Key Off-Season Acquisitions
The Giants acquired five notable players in free agency. They were cornerback Paulson Adebo of Farmington, Michigan, Canadian safety Jevon Holland of Coquitlam, British Columbia, quarterback Russell Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio, right tackle James Hudson of Toledo, Ohio, and defensive end Chauncey Golston of Detroit, Michigan.
Adebo signed a three-year contract worth $54 million. The cornerback played the last four seasons with the New Orleans Saints. Last year he had 52 combined tackles (43 solo tackles and nine assisted tackles), one quarterback hit, one tackle for a loss, 10 pass deflections, and three interceptions for 68 yards. Adebo only played seven games last season because of a broken leg.
Holland signed a three-year deal worth $45.3 million. He is joining his second National Football League franchise. Holland has spent the last four seasons with the Miami Dolphins.
In 2024, Holland had 62 combined tackles (42 solo tackles and 20 assisted tackles), two tackles for a loss, two quarterback hits, four pass deflections, one forced fumble and one sack. The forced fumble, two tackles for a loss, two quarterback hits, and one sack all came in Dolphins wins. The forced fumble was in a 20-17 Dolphins win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 8. The first tackle for a loss, first quarterback hit and sack came in a 23-15 Dolphins win over the Los Angeles Rams on November 11. The second tackle for a loss came in a 34-15 Dolphins win over the New England Patriots on November 24, and the second quarterback hit came in a 20-3 Dolphins win over the Cleveland Browns on December 29.
The Giants are the fourth franchise Wilson has played for in his National Football League career. He previously played 10 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks from 2012 to 2021, two seasons with the Denver Broncos in 2022 and 2023, and this past season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ten times Wilson has been selected to the Pro Bowl (2012 to 2015, and 2017 to 2021 with Seattle, and 2024 with Pittsburgh). He also won a Super Bowl with the Seahawks in 2013.
This past season in Pittsburgh, Wilson completed 214 passes in 336 attempts for 2482 passing yards, along with 16 touchdowns and five interceptions. He also had 43 rushes for 155 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Hudson spent the last four seasons with the Cleveland Browns. He signed a two-year deal worth $12 million.
Golston has spent the last four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He signed a three-year deal worth $18 million. In 2024, Golston had 56 combined tackles (30 solo tackles and 26 assisted tackles), five tackles for a loss, eight quarterback hits, one interception for 18 yards, 5.5 sacks, five pass deflections and one fumble recovery. The interception came in a 34-26 Cowboys win over the Washington Commanders on November 24. The fumble recovery came in a 30-14 Cowboys win over the Carolina Panthers on December 15.
Fantasy Star
Malik Nabers had a great rookie season in 2022, as he had 109 catches for 1204 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He was ranked ninth among wide receivers.
Projected Finish
Unless Giants head coach Brian Daboll delivers some coaching magic, the Giants will finish last in the NFC East.
