In the 15th of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Key Off-Season Acquisitions

The Jaguars have signed five notable free agents in the offseason. They are center Patrick Mekari of Westlake Village, California (three years, $37.5 million), wide receiver Dyami Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina (one year, $10 million), cornerback Jourdan Lewis of Detroit, Michigan (three years, $30 million), center Robert Hainsey of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (three years, $21 million), and safety Eric Murray of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (three years, $19.5 million).

Mekari has spent the last six seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. This past season Mekari had a fumble recovery in a 41-10 Ravens win over the Denver Broncos on November 3.

Brown has spent the last four seasons with Washington. In 2024, Brown had 30 catches for 308 receiving yards and one touchdown, along with three rushes for 26 rushing yards. The touchdown catch was for 41 yards from rookie sensation Jayden Daniels in a 34-13 Washington win over the Cleveland Browns on October 6.

Lewis has spent the last eight seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. In 2024, he had 71 combined tackles (39 solo tackles and 32 assisted tackles), three tackles for a loss, two quarterback hits, one interception, eight pass deflections, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one sack.

The two quarterback hits, interception, forced fumble, fumble recovery and sack all came in Cowboys wins. The fumble recovery was in a 20-17 Cowboys win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on October 6. The forced fumble was in a 34-26 Commanders win over the Dallas Cowboys on November 24.  The sack and first quarterback hit was in a 30-14 Cowboys win over the Carolina Panthers on December 14. The second quarterback hit and interception was in a 26-24 Cowboys win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on December 22.

Hainsey spent the last four seasons with the Buccaneers. Murray is joining his fourth NFL team after playing three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs (2016 to 2018), one season with the Cleveland Browns (2019), and five seasons with the Houston Texans (2020 to 2024). In 17 games with the Texans in 2024, he had 75 combined tackles (50 solo tackles and 25 assisted tackles), two quarterback hits, two tackles for a loss, one sack, one interception and 10 pass deflections. The sack and first tackle for a loss came in a 24-20 Texans win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 29. The interception came in a 41-21 Texans win over the New England Patriots on October 13, and the second tackle for a loss came in a 23-14 Texans win over the Tennessee Titans on January 5.

Fantasy Star

Wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. of Walker, Louisiana was ranked fourth in fantasy at his position. In 2025, he was a Pro Bowler and finished fourth in Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year voting. Thomas Jr. had 87 catches for 1282 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.

Projected Finish

The Jaguars finished third in the AFC South last season at four wins and 13 losses. They should see a small increase in wins in 2025, and about six to seven wins is attainable. The Jaguars are still better than the Titans with Trevor Lawrence at quarterback.
