In the 10th of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Denver Broncos.

Key Off-Season Acquisitions

There are three new Broncos on the roster this year expected to have a significant impact. They are safety Talanoa Hufanga of Corvallis, Oregon, tight end Evan Engram of Powder Springs, Georgia, and outside linebacker Dre Greenlaw of Fayetteville, Arkansas. It is interesting that the Broncos have taken a chance on Hufanga and Greenlaw when they had injury issues last year in San Francisco.

Hufanga signed a three-year deal worth $45 million. In 2024, Hufanga had 38 combined tackles (20 solo tackles and 18 assisted tackles), and two tackles for a loss. Hufanga was with the 49ers the last four seasons and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2022. He only played seven games last season because of a torn ligament in his wrist.

Greenlaw signed a three-year deal worth $35 million. He played the last six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. In 2024, Greenlaw had nine combined tackles (six assisted tackles and three solo tackles). He only played two games with a torn Achilles.

Engram signed a two-year deal worth $23 million with the Denver Broncos. He is joining his third NFL team, as he was with the New York Giants from 2017 to 2021, and the Jacksonville Jaguars the last three seasons since 2022. The two-time Pro Bowler (2020 with the Giants and 2023 with the Jaguars) had 47 catches for 365 receiving yards and one touchdown in 2024.

Fantasy Stars

Bo Nix of Arkadelphia, Arkansas is eighth among quarterbacks. Last season he completed 376 passes in 567 attempts for 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions as a rookie. Nix also had 92 rushes for 430 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.

Courtland Sutton of Brenham, Texas is ninth among wide receivers. Last season he had 81 catches for 1081 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

Will Lutz of Newnan, Georgia is sixth among kickers. Last season he made 31 of 34 field goals and all 46 converts.

On defense, the Broncos are ranked first. They led the NFL with 63 sacks and five touchdowns off of fumble recoveries in 2024. Linebacker Nik Bonitto of Fort Lauderdale, Florida led the Broncos last season with 13.5 sacks.

Projected Finish

The Kansas City Chiefs are the best team in the AFC West. Meanwhile, it is a toss up between the Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers for second. Due to the fact that the Chargers lost offensive tackle Rashawn Slater for the season this week due to a torn patellar tendon, I will give the slight edge to Denver.
