2024 NFL Week 18 Preview: Our Expert Tips & Staking Plan
January 5, 2025

So here we are, the final week of the NFL season. It can be a bit of a minefield working out which players will be rested and which will play, but we have put in the hours and we have some great picks for the week.
I will likely be adding some more picks before the games so make sure to check back.
New Orleans Saints @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers are very motivated to win, for a number of reasons. The main one being a win secures the division and a playoff spot. But also for individuals. Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans are in line for big bonuses with a good performance here.
The Saints have been miserable down the stretch and it is hard to see them turning it on here.

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots
While the Bills do not really have anything to play for, and are likely to rest starters for at least some of this game, the Patriots actually have motivation to lose. A loss here would cement them as the team picking first in this year’s draft. The Bills back ups are more than capable of beating the Patriots, particularly if Josh Allen plays a few drives and gives them a head start.

Kansas City Chiefs @Denver Broncos
This is a purely number play. The Chiefs will be resting players after locking up the bye and the first seed, but like with the Bills, their back ups are not just no hopers. They are a talented bunch and all the pressure is on the Broncos who need to win to get into the playoffs. The Chiefs can keep this close, and maybe even steal a win to keep their divisional rivals at home for the postseason.

Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Rams
Geno Smith has as much motivation to win this game and play well as perhaps any player this week. A win, and a good performance could bag him up to $6m. With the Rams resting their starters, it is hard to see anything happening but a Seahawks win.
One of Smith’s incentives is around his completion rate, so I like Zach Charbonnet to be on the receiving end of a lot of passing work.
