2024 Jacksonville Jaguars Projected Finish, Key Signings and Fantasy Stars

In the 15th of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Key Off Season Acquisitions
In the offseason, Jacksonville made five key acquisitions to their roster. Four moves were made via free agency, and one was made via trade. In free agency, the Jaguars signed defensive end Arik Armstead of Sacramento, California to a three-year deal worth $43.5 million, wide receiver Gabriel Davis of Sanford, Florida to a three-year deal worth $39 million, safety Darnell Savage Jr. of Salisbury, Maryland to a three-year deal worth $21.75 million, and center Mitch Morse of Austin, Texas to a two-year deal worth $10.5 million. Meanwhile, the Jaguars acquired quarterback Mac Jones of Jacksonville, Florida from the New England Patriots for a sixth round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Armstead comes to the Jaguars after nine seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. In 2023, he had 27 combined tackles (15 solo tackles and 12 assisted tackles), four tackles for a loss, Â 13 quarterback hits and five sacks.
Davis has spent the last four seasons with the Buffalo Bills. In 2023, he had 45 catches for 746 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
Savage Jr. has spent the last five seasons with the Green Bay Packers. In 2023, he had 51 combined tackles (36 solo tackles and 15 assisted tackles), one tackle for a loss, and one pass deflection in 2023. The tackle for a loss came in a 38-20 Packers win over the Chicago Bears on September 10 and the pass deflection came in a 27-19 Packers win over the Kansas City Chiefs on December 3. Savage Jr. also had a 64-yard interception return for a touchdown on January 14 in the Packers’s 48-32 upset win over the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Wildcard.
Morse has nine NFL seasons (five seasons with the Buffalo Bills since 2019, and four seasons before that with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2014 to 2018). Jones has been with the Patriots the last three seasons. In 2023, Jones completed 224 passes in 345 attempts for 2120 passing yards, 10 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions. He also had 26 rushes for 96 rushing yards.
Fantasy Stars
The Jaguars do not have anyone ranked in the top 10 at any of the positions in fantasy football.
Projected Finish
For the third straight day we are covering a team from the AFC South. The Jaguars have a strong offense, but do not have an elite defense. That will cost them as Houston does a better job at preventing points. Jacksonville finishes second in the AFC South with a playoff spot a possibility.
