This past week in the NFL has been all about big injuries. We have lost Joe Burrow and Deshaun Watson for the rest of the season. But the show must go on and these injuries can open up opportunities for us to take advantage of over and underreactions.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Miami Dolphins

I have been looking for a chance to really back against this Raiders team and here it is. The Raiders, even with the coaching and quarterback changes, are not good. Miami can send them home with a bit of a hammering. The Dolphins are getting healthier and healthier. Running backs Raheem Mostert and Devon Achane are both good to go for this and we saw how devastating they could be early this season. It is a big spread, but one I love Miami to cover.

New York Giants @ Washington Commanders

The Giants are barely fielding an NFL team right now. Offensively they are a mess. Injuries to an already poor roster have left them looking a long way short. The Commanders defensively are not great, but on offence they are really firing right now and they can really run it up on the woeful Giants.

Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Dorian Thompson-Robinson gets the start for the Browns and it is a tough assignment up against the Steelers defence. I am not impressed by the Steelers, but they keep finding a way to win and I think they can do so again here against a quarterback that had a dreadful first start as a pro and looked a long way short.

Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions

Justin Fields returns for the Bears but it is unlikely to be enough for the Bears to overcome the much better Lions team. Detroit have big aims now this season and they will want to make this one a comfortable one. I expect them to come out fast and build a big early lead.
