St George Illawarra has won six of its last eight against Manly, though honours were shared in 2021: Saints prevailed 38-12 in Wollongong in Round 3 but the Sea Eagles carved out a 32-18 victory on the Gold Coast in Round 18.

NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS VS SYDNEY ROOSTERS – FRIDAY JULY 22, 7:55PM, MCDONALD JONES STADIUM
The Roosters sit just one win outside the eight but three more injury blows have made the task of sneaking into the finals that much tougher.
The 5-12 Knights slipped to 13th after leaking 40-plus points in consecutive weeks to Souths and Manly, and are only a converted try and a field goal conceded away from having the worst defensive record in the NRL. The gulf in class between Kalyn Ponga and his teammates is a huge concern for the club.
The Knights’ season-opening upset – carving out a stunning 20-6 result at the SCG – was just their third win in their last 17 clashes with the Roosters. But 2022 has completely unravelled for the Novocastrians since that point.
- 4 units ($200) Roosters 13+ @ $2.15
- SGM: Roosters 13+ / E. Lee Anytime Scorer / J Suaalii Anytime Scorer @ $7 With playup

CANBERRA RAIDERS VS NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS – SATURDAY JULY 23, 3:00PM, GIO STADIUM
Ricky Stuart’s men will go in as hot favourites but they will be wary of taking the Warriors lightly having gone down by a point in round eight when Shaun Johnson got his team home in golden point.
The Warriors have won three of their last four in Canberra.
- 2 units ($200) Raiders -10.5 @ $2.00
- 2 units ($200) over 41.5 match points @ $1.90

PENRITH PANTHERS VS CRONULLA SHARKS – SATURDAY JULY 23, 5:30PM, PENRITH STADIUM
With seven rounds of the regular season remaining Penrith find themselves eight points clear at the top of the ladder, while the Sharks have climbed to third after beating the Cowboys last up.
The Panthers have won four of its last five against the Sharks, including the last two at Penrith by a combined 86 points to 12. Count on this one being much closer, though – the Panthers will have to dig deep to ward of a Sharks side far less burdened by the rep schedule and may struggle cover this big line.
- 2 units ($200) Sharks +12.5 @ $2.00
- SGM: Sharks +12.5 / Under 40.5 M Points @ $3.10 With Playup

SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS VS MELBOURNE STORM – SATURDAY JULY 23, 7:35PM, ACCOR STADIUM
CANTERBURY BULLDOGS VS GOLD COAST TITANS – SUNDAY JULY 24, 2:00PM, COMMBANK STADIUM
Playing at home for the fifth game in a row, the Bulldogs will look to get back to winning ways after consecutive losses to top-eight sides Cronulla and South Sydney.
The Titans have won their last three against the Bulldogs, including both games in 2021 by double-digit margins. But Gold Coast are a shadow of the effervescent outfit that surged to a drought-breaking finals appearance last year. The Bulldogs are playing with too much desire and enterprise to get rolled here and should cover easily.
- 4 units ($400) Bulldogs -4 @ $2.00
- SGM: Bulldogs -4 / Addo-Carr Anytime Scorer @ $4.33 With Playup

In stark contrast the Tigers sit last after a loss to the undermanned Panthers and in danger of collecting the joint venture’s first ever wooden spoon.
