Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions

The only thing that worries me here is that the Bears are closing in on the first overall pick and a win may actually be detrimental to their long term goals, but players do not really just give up – to tank teams need to trade away their best players or put them on IR (see the Cardinals) – and with Justin Fields, the Bears are always going to be able to put up points.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans

One interesting stat that came up this week is that eliminated teams playing teams that need to win over the final two weeks of the season have gone 95-57-4 ATS (62.5%) since 1990. That is pretty incredible and something we are going to look at here. Regardless of the result this week, the Jaguars game with the Titans next week will decide who wins the division and makes the playoffs. So they could well rest starters at some point.

Indianapolis Colts @ New York Giants

I promise I am not just going off the stat, but this is another that fits it. But I love backing teams off the back of a miserable performance, when the public perception is at its lowest. You can get better lines than what they probably should be.

Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This game is huge for both teams. A win for the Bucs and they are in the playoffs. A win for the Panthers and they have every chance of stealing it away and winning the division. But I will back the more talented and experienced team to come up big in what is almost an elimination game.
