2021 NFL Week 6 Preview: Our Expert Tips & Staking Plan

After this week we will already be 1/3 of the way through the season. We are moving along at a great rate and remain on course to beat last season’s 22.57 units of profit.

I will likely be adding some more picks before the games so make sure to check back.

Season to date
Premium picks:
  • Profit/Loss: +8.53 units
  • ROI: +12%
  • Strike rate: 51%
Overall:
  • Profit/Loss: +3.57 units
  • ROI: +4%
  • Strike rate: 45%

Los Angeles Chargers @ Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens have been the buzz team this week after their big comeback win on Monday Night Football. But I am just not buying the hype. Since that victory I have been looking forward to betting against them as I just feel they are overrated right now. They are a good team, but they are a little flawed to me. They have had a fairly comfortable start to the season with the Chiefs being the only real test. The Chargers are certainly another and I think they come up short here. The Chargers are playing phenomenal football right now and I think they can go into Baltimore and come away with a big, big win.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Washington Football Team

So much of being successful against the spread is about working out which teams are under and overrated by the public. Right now I feel people are way too low on the Chiefs. They have played some very good football this season and just suffered from a brutal early schedule. They may not be at their absolute best but they are still a top five team in the league. Washington are just poor and their pass defence is woeful. This is a get right game for Kansas City and they should so it easily.

  • 1 unit Tyreek Hill over 81.5 yards receiving 1.88 with Ladbrokes

Minnesota Vikings @ Carolina Panthers

The Panthers were the buzz team after their early wins but a couple of losses (to decent teams I should add) have seen the shine come off them. What should not be ignored is that they were without their best player in those losses and Christian McCaffrey should be back in the line up for this one and that should make a big difference. I just continue to be underwhelmed by the Vikings and I am happy to take a home underdog here.

Arizona Cardinals @ Cleveland Browns

The Cardinals are 5-0 and obviously playing good football, but this looks like a really bad match up for them. The weather looks like it is going to be rough in Cleveland and that should hinder the passing game – Kyler Murray is also dealing with an injured shoulder. There is also the news that some of the Arizona coaching staff, including head coach Kliff Kingsbury, will miss the game due to COVID. The Browns have the best rushing attack in the league, even with Nick Chubb out and should be able to control this game throughout.

  • 1 unit Browns -3.5 1.92 with TopSport (I am going to be placing this as late as possible to try and get -3 so it is worth waiting if you can)
  • 2 units Kareem Hunt any time touchdown 1.8 with TopSport
  • 1 unit Kareem Hunt over 22.5 receiving yards 1.88 with TopSport

Dallas Cowboys @ New England Patriots

The Cowboys are 5-0 against the spread and we have been on it every time. Well we aren’t giving up yet. They go to New England as relatively small favourites compared to where these teams are. The Patriots are still being rated on past achievements in my opinion. They are not a good football team. Even if Bill Belichick can come up with a scheme to slow down Dak and co, the Pats offence is so poor. I find it hard to envisage them getting to 20 points here, so the Cowboys should not need to be at 100% to cover. The Patriots are likely to try and slow down the game so an under looks likely.

  • 2 units Cowboys -3 1.78 with TopSport
  • 2 units Cowboys/Patriots under 51 1.81 with TopSport
