Yankees to face Astros in great series to begin September

As the Major League Baseball regular season begins September, there is one very interesting series in the American League. Starting on Tuesday, the Houston Astros are hosting the New York Yankees at Daikin Park in Texas.
The Astros have the best record in the American League West at 76 wins and 62 losses for a winning percentage of .551. They lead the Seattle Mariners by three games. The Yankees are at 76 wins and 61 losses for a winning percentage of .555. The Bronx Bombers are tied for second in the American League East with the Boston Red Sox. They are two and a half games back of the division leading Toronto Blue Jays. Boston and New York also have the best wildcard records in the American League and lead the Texas Rangers by five games for a playoff spot.
The Yankees are led by right fielder Aaron Judge of Linden, California, who is putting together an American League Most Valuable Player caliber season if it was not for Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh of Cullowhee, North Carolina. Judge leads the Majors with a .324 batting average, and is second in the American League with 43 home runs. Meanwhile, Yankees shortstop Jose Caballero of Panama City, Panama, who began the season with the Tampa Bay Rays, leads the Major Leagues with 41 stolen bases.
On the mound, there is a very intriguing pitching matchup on Tuesday. The Yankees are going with Max Fried of Santa Monica, California, who is second in the American League with 14 wins. Meanwhile, the Astros are going with Framber Valdez of Sabana Grande de Palenque, Dominican Republic, who is second in the American League with 18 quality starts. Meanwhile, the Yankees’s Thursday starter, Carlos Rodon of Miami, Florida, leads the American League with 15 wins.
