Trial Review: Horses You Must Follow From The Trials Over The Past Week 23/7
July 23, 2020
Chris Camilleri has taken a look back over the trials of the past week, reviewing the replays and times to come up with three to follow first up and through their prep.
Cinquedea – Rosehill 17/7/20
The Freedman trained Cinquedea improved sharply in his second trial and looks set to head to the races now. The gelding sat off the speed and made up many lengths late under a tight hold running right through the line.Â
When To Bet
The gelding runs well first up and look for him to resume over 1200m-1300m and is one worth following through a preparation as the distances rise.Â
Trial Replay – Trial 1 over 1030m : Overall Time 1:05.68 Last 600m 35.97
Single Bullet – Rosehill 17/7/20
Super impressive trial by the Gary Portelli trained gelding, this was his second trial and he did it with ease jumping straight to the front and showing nice acceleration at the top of the straight under minimal riding in an overall time of 1:03.18 which was over a second quicker than any other trial over the same distance. Â
When To Bet
Runs very well fresh and will look to find a 1000m race where he can go straight to the front and give them something to chase.Â
Trial Replay – Trial 2 over 1030m : Overall Time 1:03.18 Last 600m 35.64
La Tigresa – Rosehill 17/7/20
Freedman trained filly that looks to have developed well during the spell and improved sharply here in her second trial, sat just off the speed and hit the line strongly making up many lengths late under no riding.
When To Bet
Will look for a 1200m race in a provincial maiden and will have the tactical speed to be handy throughout. Â
Trial Replay – Trial 3 over 1030m : Overall Time 1:04.32 Last 600m 36.96
