Top five rookies from week 4 of the 2024 NFL season

The National Football League is four weeks complete. Here are the top five rookies from week four on winning teams. One thing is clear. The future is bright and there is a lot of excitement in Washington.

5) Bo Nix

The Broncos first round pick out of the University of Oregon completed 12 of 25 passes for 60 passing yards and one touchdown, along with five rushes for three yards in a 10-9 Broncos upset win over the New York Jets at the Meadowlands. Nix’s touchdown was an eight yard touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton of Brenham, Texas.

4) Bucky Irving

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie running back from Chicago, Illinois was the Buccaneers’s fourth round pick, 125th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft out of the University of Oregon. On Sunday, Irving had 10 rushes for 49 yards and one touchdown rush, along with one catch for six yards in a 33-16 Buccaneers win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Irving’s touchdown was an unconverted major score which was a one-yard run. It put Tampa Bay up 30-14 with six minutes and 49 seconds left in the third quarter.

3) Xavier Worthy

The Kansas City Chiefs rookie wide receiver from Fresno, California has really impressed Patrick Mahomes so far. On Sunday in a 17-10 Chiefs win over the Los Angeles Chargers, Xavier Worthy had three catches for 73 receiving yards and one touchdown. The touchdown was a 54 yard touchdown catch from Mahomes. Expect a lot more from Worthy with Rashee Rice out with a knee injury.

2) Caleb Williams

The first overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft from Washington, D.C. completed 17 of 23 passes for 157 passing yards and one touchdown, along with five rushes for 12 rushing yards in a 24-18 Bears win over the Los Angeles Rams. The touchdown pass was for nine yards to wide receiver DJ Moore of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who ironically was traded to Chicago from Carolina for the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

1) Jayden Daniels

For the third straight week, the number two overall pick is number one on our list. On Sunday, Washington Commanders starting quarterback Jayden Daniels of Fontana, California completed 26 of 30 passes for 233 passing yards, along with eight rushes for 47 rushing yards and another major score in a 42-14 Washington win over Arizona. Daniels’s touchdown run was for nine yards, and his touchdown pass was for 10 yards to wide receiver Terry McLaurin of Indianapolis, Indiana.
