In the last of a six-part series, we will take a look at running backs. Arguably the most important position in fantasy football, there are a lot of solid running backs in 2020 that you should feel comfortable starting in any given week. Here are the top five.

5) Dalvin Cook–Minnesota Vikings–The 25-year-old from Miami is in his fourth season in Minnesota. After injuries plagued Cook over the first two years, he was able to play a career-high 14 games in 2019. Cook had 250 carries for 1135 yards and 13 touchdowns, along with 53 catches for 519 yards.

4) Clyde Edwards-Helaire–Kansas City Chiefs–The rookie from Louisiana State has the potential to have a breakout season playing for Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. With the Tigers over the last few seasons, Edwards-Helaire was an offensive catalyst at the collegiate level. Now, he joins a Chiefs squad loaded with talent, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Edwards-Helaire should be Kansas City’s everyday back after Damien Williams opted out of 2020.

3) Derrick Henry–Tennessee Titans–A major reason why the Tennessee titans reached the AFC Championship in 2019 was because of the play of Derrick Henry of Yulee, Florida. Henry was a workhorse as he had 446 rushing yards in three postseason games. In the regular season, Henry’s statistics were equally as impressive as he led the NFL with 1540 rushing yards, 16 touchdowns and 102.7 yards per game. Why Henry is only at number three, is because he could be utilized more in the passing game. Henry only had 18 catches for 206 yards in 2019.

2) Ezekiel Elliott–Dallas Cowboys–It should be an interesting season for Elliott, who plays on a Cowboys team which underachieved in 2019. Despite a remarkable amount of offensive talent, Dallas missed the playoffs and only had a record of eight wins and eight losses. Elliott meanwhile, had 301 rushes for 1357 yards and 12 touchdowns, alongside 54 catches for 420 yards and two touchdowns.

1) Christian McCaffrey–Carolina Panthers–Clearly the consensus first overall pick in all fantasy football pools in 2020, McCaffrey led the NFL with 2392 yards from scrimmage in 2019. He had 1387 rushing yards, to go along with 1005 receiving yards. McCaffrey also found the end zone 19 times in 2019. He had 15 rushing touchdowns and four receiving touchdowns.
