Titans sign cornerback Quandre Diggs

According to Matthew Duff of The Sports Daily on Wednesday, the Tennessee Titans have signed cornerback Quandre Diggs of Houston, Texas (pictured number six). The terms of the contract are a one-year deal worth $5 million. Diggs is the second defender the Titans have signed in the offseason who played last year with the Seattle Seahawks. The other is safety Jamal Adams of Lewisville, Texas, who signed with the Titans on July 11.
Diggs is a three-time Pro Bowler from 2020 to 2022. In those three seasons, Diggs had 14 pass interceptions for 195 yards. one fumble recovery, 24 pass deflections, 229 total tackles (158 solo tackles and 71 assisted tackles), two tackles for a loss and one quarterback hit.
This past season, Diggs had 95 combined tackles (63 solo tackles and 32 assisted tackles), one tackle for a loss, one interception for 21 yards and five pass deflections. The interception and tackle for a loss this past season came in Seahawks wins. The interception was in s 24-3 Seahawks win over the New York Giants on October 2, and the tackle for a loss came in a 21-20 Seahawks win over the Arizona Cardinals on January 7.
The Titans are the third National Football League team Diggs has played for. He was previously with the Detroit Lions from 2015 to 2019, and then the last five seasons with the Seahawks from 2019 to 2023.
Diggs does have NFL experience at other defensive positions. He also played defensive back and cornerback with the Lions to begin his NFL career. Diggs has played in the NFL at free safety and strong safety. He is not related to Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs of Gaithensburg, Maryland.
