Randwick Race 8 – Cascadian
This race looks to be set up perfectly for the ultra consistent Cascadian. He had no luck in the Winx Stakes last start when he was knocked sideways at the top of the straight and still had the ability to close off strongly for an eye catching 5th. The highlight of his career came when he won the Doncaster over the Randwick mile

Randwick Race 10 – Grand Rumore
This Kris Lees import returns after two very appealing runs in her debut Australian preparation. She earned a spot in my black book after an outstanding debut win at Canterbury where she settled well back, was inconvenienced in the straight and still charged home to win by the smallest of margins. Jockey Hugh Bowman stated that she would be well suited to a bigger tracker, just like Randwick.
She was then sent to a BM72 on Hawkesbury Cup day and faced a chequered run up the straight but still managed to close off for 4th. She will need to have come on to beat a hot field like this but I think there is a lot to like about this mare.
Tip: 1 Unit EW Grand Rumore @$11/$3.5
