The Plunge’s Black Book: Horses Running At Randwick 10/4

Last Saturday was a great day for subscribers! Signore Fox’s win resulted in +18 units of profit!

Day 1 of The Championships is always a challenging day of punting with big fields of quality runners. I’ve found a Godolphin banker for the day and have found some great value with runners at massive odds in the TJ Smith and the Doncaster. Click below to read more.

Randwick Race 6 – Anamoe

We were on Anamoe in the Slipper at great each way odds and after the way he charged through the line for 2nd place producing amazing closing sectionals, there is no reason to jump off in the G1 Sires Produce.

The extra 200m looks perfect for this Godolphin 2yo and he won’t have to contend with barrier 15 today, instead barrier 5 in the much smaller field.

Tip: 3 Units Win Anamoe @$2

Randwick Race 8 – Eleven Eleven

This year’s TJ Smith Stakes is as strong and as open as I can recall for a long time. Bivouac, Nature Strip and Eduardo are the 3 best sprinters in the country at them moment and they thoroughly deserve to fight out for favouritism here.

That being said, I am keen to have something on Eleven Eleven at the whopping odds of $61. Greg Hickman seems to have this guy flying after winning 3 on the trot last preparation, which culminated with the 4yo’s biggest win in the Magic Millions Cup.

This is a huge step up in class but I think he is ready and Hickman wouldn’t be sending him around if he didn’t think he has continued to improve.

Punters may be wary of his ordinary 1st up stats but it should be noted that its only been 8 weeks since his last run and he has been kept up to the mark with 2 trials since, winning the latest in dominant fashion.

Tip: 0.5 Units Each Way Rock @$61/9 With TopSport

Randwick Race 9 – Icebath

As always the Doncaster is a wide-open affair with a stacked field of 20 runners. There are plenty of lightweight chances looking to challenge emerging star and race favourite Mugatoo.

I’m once again going for value here and after gaining a start as 1st emergency and the near certainty of a wet track, I just cannot believe Icebath is a $21 chance.

Subscribers will be aware that I was taken with her run in the Emancipation last week where she was entitled to do a lot worse than she did with nothing in her favour. Despite the dry track along with the on-pace/fence bias in the track, Icebath was able to weave through runners and produce a strong finish on the worst part of the track for a gallant 4th.

Everyone knows she loves a wet track and I think she may be a big firmer on the day if the track stays on the worse side of a Soft 7. ***Note: If the track dries out to better than a Soft 7 punters should looks elsewhere.

Tip: 1 Unit Each Way Icebath @$21/6
