Has improved his ratings his last two starts since dropping back to the 1000m. The pre race ear muffs coming off for the first time also suggest he is maturing. Draws ok here but has shown enough speed in the past two suggest he could settle a bit closer. The Groth stable is going well at the moment and Billy Cray has been in great form too.

Is over due his maiden win. Back in trip to the 1200 where he only has the one start where he finishes 7th and went to the paddock after – happy to forgive that effort. He resumed this prep in great order over the 1100m. He was luckless on the back of that effort finishing 3rd at Hawkesbury over 1100m. He’s had 2 starts since at 1300 and 1400. He draws well and the Blinkers come on first time.
